HARD SET RULES designed to help ensure the enjoyment of everyone:

RULES ARE HARD AND FAST. FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF ALL ANY VIOLATIONS OF RULES WILL RESULT IN EJECTION WITHOUT REFUND. PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND. THANK YOU!

ABSOLUTELY NO use of cell phones or other electronic devices ANYWHERE other than the lounge. No use of flashlight mode or texting or calls or anything OTHER than in the lounge.

If you NEED to use your phone for any reason... you MUST do it in the lounge where you first enter.
Any use of ANY electronic devices elsewhere is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
We think that is fair and hope you agree.

NO DRUNKEN BEHAVIOR allowed.

We are providing some drinks with ticket purchase and cocktail refreshments are served at various places in the environment... but KNOW YOUR LIMITS.

This is NOT an environment that is safe to stumble through.
This is NOT a show to experience with your inhibitions lowered significantly.

NO LATE ARRIVALS.

The theatre opens at 6:30pm for cocktails and refreshments.
The show begins at 7:30pm SHARP.
NO ARRIVALS AFTER 7:30pm will be allowed and no refunds will be given for late arrivals.

NO TALKING.

Yes, you may talk to the “oracles” (who also happen to be able to sell you cocktails and refreshments)
That said, please do not engage with “oracles” when they are obviously participating in a scene with other characters.
There is NO TALKING to other characters or other patrons.
Except in the lounge. If you NEED to make a call or discuss things with your fellow patrons... do it in the lounge.
THAT SAID... there ARE scenes that take place in the lounge so PLEASE be respectful of those.

This is a strange theatre show... but it is still a play. Please... no talking.

YOU MUST WEAR YOUR MASKS.

This is important for everyone to understand who is in the audience and who is a character.
We will provide basic “zoro-type” masks for use BUT if you'd like to bring and use your own masks, that is totally welcome. Some of the fun is seeing the great masks that patrons bring in!

WHAT CAN I TOUCH or MOVE?

Any loose paper items (letters, etc) are there for you to touch, and read if you desire.
Nearly everything is there for you to touch if you like but you MUST put it back as you found it. We are truly doing our best to give you a cool experience... so please be cool to us and other patrons in return.
That said... there will be a few things that are clearly marked as to “not touch” and there are a few things you WILL need to move for certain puzzles, if you choose to spend time solving those.
This entire experience has been designed and built to entertain YOU in a unique way, so the basic rule of “just be cool” usually is a good rule of thumb to ensure everyone's good time. Thank you.

WHERE CAN I GO?

Anywhere that is not clearly marked with an obvious “no” sign.

Some areas are blocked off because they are “tech rooms” or “boiler rooms” or simply boring storage lockers where we keep toilet paper. Please stay out of any area marked with a “no” sign. Thank you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

HOW LONG IS THE SHOW? IS THERE AN INTERMISSION?
The show is approximately two hours non-stop but since you are able to wander freely and choose your own path, you may use the restrooms or purchase refreshments whenever you require.

IS THIS A HAUNTED HOUSE? IS IT SCARY?
No. This is immersive theatre.
Yes, there are some elements that are not dissimilar to a “haunted house” such as dark environments, catacombs, and a generally creepy vibe of sorts. BUT this is mainly a voyeuristic experience where you wander freely through the lives of various characters. This is a work of mysterious drama.

This show isn't traditionally “scary.” The environment will likely get under your skin at times and it may be genuinely creepy to play a voyeur or find yourself alone in a strange, dark environment... but nothing will ever “jump out at you.”
In the past our immersive shows have been described as “haunted houses for adults without any cheesy jump-scares.”

IS THIS SHOW KID/FAMILY APPROPRIATE?
Not exactly. However we always believe that parents know their kids better than us.
There is a bit of nudity. A bit of violence. A bit of “adult” drama and themes.

If we were to self-rate this production it would be rated R.
You must be at least 18 to attend without an adult.
Please, when deciding if your child is “capable” of seeing this show, keep in mind that watching “real people” is very different than something on a screen.

IS THIS SHOW ADA COMPLIENT?

Unfortunately no. This performance takes place on two levels of The Alchemist space with stairs joining the two.

IS THIS A MURDER MYSTERY?

No. Not exactly. However this style of immersive story-telling certainly drives the audience to fill in pieces of the story that they do not witness. There are also many puzzles that you may discover and choose to interact with and solving these puzzles will reward your “detective skills.”
That said, if you only choose to be a voyeur in your experience, you will have plenty of fun and thrills.

WILL THERE BE “ESCAPE ROOM TYPE GADGETS” AS IN YOUR PRODUCTION OF “CLOSING NIGHT?”
Yes. There are secret doors and hidden rooms and plenty of “gizmos and gadgets” to play with that reveal unique parts of the story and unlock secret scenes that you alone will get to witness.
The secondary “code and gadget-based scavenger hunt puzzle storylines” are wickedly complex – the completion of each is rewarded handsomely.
Those “in tune” with such things will discover and solve the many puzzles, but they are simply an extra bonus level to the show.
That said... you should really mostly explore and enjoy the performances.

IS THIS SHOW INTERACTIVE?

No. In fact you are not allowed to interact with the performers OTHER THAN a few obvious folks who serve as “oracles.”
One way to think of this show is that all of the characters are ghosts who are living out their past lives completely unaware of you. Be kind to our ghosts and stay our of their way and let them do their thing.
THAT SAID... as mentioned above, it is possible to unlock certain “hidden scenes” by solving complex puzzles. During those scenes a character may seduce you into a small room for a private scene where they interact for a short amount of time.

OVERALL... you are an unseen voyeur to the world of the characters.

THE DESCRIPTION SAYS THAT THE AUDIENCE WEARS MASKS. WILL THOSE BE PROVIDED?
Yes. We provide simple “zoro-type” masks for your use. You are also completely free to bring your own, much-cooler masks if you wish!

THE REASON FOR MASKS?
It may not seem like it, but trust us when we say that by wearing a mask you will soon feel very disconnected from the world we have built for you. You become strictly a voyeur in a strange land full of odd life.
Masks also help delineate audience members from the characters of the show which is important.
